Silence in Verse...

To those of you who don't know, today is the day of silence, and from the time I woke up this morning to the time I go to sleep tonight (or midnight, whichever comes first), I will be silent. I am proud of my self in the fact that I have only slipped twice, and each time I have caught myself before more than a word has dropped from my lips. I don't know if my silence today has made a difference, but I know that being silent has caused a change in me. So, I wrote a poem.

Behind the Silence...

Tomorrow, I will be silent, but before then, I thought I should at least tell someone why.

Damn, That's a Fine Shoulder...

Me, with my "damn fine" shoulders.
So, here's my dilemma. Today at school, I got "dress coded" because apparently I was showing too much skin. That said, I know I have a large henna tattoo running the length of my left arm, but my vice principal complimented me on that, so it wasn't the issue. Either way, I personally do not feel like my shirt shows too much skin, but I would like the opinions of other people.

Life in Stereo...

The Mighty Moose! (From left to right: Sara's hand, me, Abi, Jordan, Caroline, Emily (one of our instructors), Morgan, Allie, and Allison (one of our instructors). (Not pictured: Noah, Jorge, Mr. T, and Greg)

So, if you are a continuous follower of my blog, you probably know that I went on this crazy awesome trip to the Teton Science School in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was pretty damn fantastic, and if you want to know more, click nya.

Anyways,  to the main point of this post, I thought I would try and tell the story of my life in songs. I'll give the songs, and then next week I will explain the significance of these songs.

You can listen to all the songs if you have the time, or just the titles, and leave any guesses in the comments please.

Copper Classic (An Adventure with the Verbal Assault Squad) Part One...

"I have three hints for becoming a good speaker, Charlie Brown. You must know when to stand up, when to speak up, and when to shut up."

So, I've begun my foray into the art of Forensics/Public Speaking. I gave five speeches in all, three on Friday between one and ten o'clock at night, and then two between six thirty in the morning Saturday and six pm that night. I did a lot of sitting around and talking with people, and we were all dressed in very fancy clothing. I felt quite classy.

The Teacher Said WHAT?!

The reaction of half of my class when my teacher spoke her fateful words...

So, as you may already know, I enjoy school, so I am in Honors Biology at the current time. Well, that's mostly because I am infatuated with science, but that is besides the point. Today in Biology we were talking about the cell cycle and how screwing with your cell cycle can cause cancer. You would think it would be just a normal day in Bio class.

You, my friend, would be terribly mistaken.

Cannibalism is Okay Today...

TMJH Park City Post
NO. I'm NOT talking about eating people. I'm talking about interviewing your fellow journalists for quotes to supplement your articles. Normally, we would not allow cannibalism (we being me and my fellow Editors in Chief down at the TMJH Park City Post (the online magazine I edit for)), but today is make-or-break day. What the journalists can write in the next hour determines if they pass or fail this class for this quarter. I'm hoping that I can have mercy on their souls.
