101 Awesome Songs, High on Life and it Feels SO Good...

Welcome, welcome! I don't exactly know why but today just seems like a rather fantastic day. Maybe it's just because I'm finally getting enough oxygen to my brain and that is making me super duper high on life. Whatever it is, it is wonderful, and I think you guys deserve something that is equally as wonderful. Spoiler alert, that thing is Grunge Jesus, or Dave Grohl, and The Foo Fighters.

101 Awesome Songs, Because You Are More...

So, my lovelies, I have a problem. This problem is a problem that is very dear to me because it has affected me in a very personal way. This problem I have is the romanticism of suicide that has taken my generation by storm, and taken friends of mine with it.

This is something that I'm trying to remedy, and I don't know in what way I can really do that other than with music.

This is The End...

Or, is it?

Seriously, I don't understand why all these people who have been doing blogs all year long are suddenly quitting and leaving their little blogosphere to fester in the depths of the internet.

Silence in Verse...

To those of you who don't know, today is the day of silence, and from the time I woke up this morning to the time I go to sleep tonight (or midnight, whichever comes first), I will be silent. I am proud of my self in the fact that I have only slipped twice, and each time I have caught myself before more than a word has dropped from my lips. I don't know if my silence today has made a difference, but I know that being silent has caused a change in me. So, I wrote a poem.

Behind the Silence...

Tomorrow, I will be silent, but before then, I thought I should at least tell someone why.

So, if you are a continuous follower of my blog, you probably know that I went on this crazy awesome trip to the Teton Science School in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was pretty damn fantastic, and if you want to know more, click nya.

Anyways,  to the main point of this post, I thought I would try and tell the story of my life in songs. I'll give the songs, and then next week I will explain the significance of these songs.

You can listen to all the songs if you have the time, or just the titles, and leave any guesses in the comments please.

Wasatch Wipeout, Part 2 (My Adventures with the Verbal Assault Squad)...

Beginning my second fear induced adventure into the Debate/Forensics world. First off, you should know that I am a Novice, and Wasatch Wipeout is an Open (Advanced) Tournament. So, basically, I was feeling like the whole night was just going to be one huge fuster cluck.

Honestly, it wasn't that bad though. I didn't die of anxiety or asthma, and I didn't break down crying every time I gave my speech, because this time it wasn't about the sad parts of life. This Oratory was about one of my true loves, music.

You've Got Anxiety, I've Got Anxiety, Let's Make a Playlist...

So, not to insinuate by any means that anyone is mentally unstable, I'm just saying that we all have nervous break downs every once in a while. Especially people like me who have a lot going on with their family, and take all honors classes, and do extracurricular activities as well. Plus, asthma. Enough said there.

Anyways, I'm currently freaking-the-freak out about my debate tournament tomorrow, during which I will be giving a ten minute speech that I've barely memorized tonight and being judged against people who have been doing this far longer than I have, seeing as this is only my second tournament and I don't even take debate class. It's not like I've bitten my nails entirely off, but, well, let's just say it's hard typing with band-aids on all of your fingers. I'm only half joking.

101 Awesome Songs, Welcome to the Black Parade...

After a long day of battling with respiratory distress I love kicking back and attempting to relax, watching my crime dramas and listening to some fantastic rib cage shaking metal, or even some soft rock. Really anything that will make me feel.

Anyways, here's another song for your enjoyment, and may I say, welcome to the black parade.
